J. Angelo Design Build was founded in 2004 by John Angelo after two decades in commercial construction and property management. The firm's mandate was simple: bring the discipline of large-scale commercial building to the residential market — with no shortcuts, no substandard finishes, and no distance between the client and the builder.

Today, John and Jack Meyer lead a tight team of designers, project managers, and trade partners who have earned every major award the Austin home-building industry offers.

Began in property management, spent 13 years as President of Modern Contractors Inc. — a commercial construction firm across North Texas. Founded J. Angelo Design Build in 2004 with award-winning projects across Texas and Arizona.

Jack Meyer
President

Former U.S. Marine. B.EnvD from Texas A&M College of Architecture. MBA, UCLA Anderson. Hands-on foreman experience at Modern Contractors before joining J. Angelo. Brings military precision to every project phase.
